Obituary for Theresa R. Tolitsky

Theresa Roberta Tolitsky, 84, died Monday, March 28 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Theresa was born in Groton CT on June 6, 1931 to William and Mary Wood.
In 1947, she moved to Central City, Pennsylvania and lived there for ten years. She married in PA on September 27, 1947 and gave birth to her first three children. They then moved to Detroit, MI in 1957 to seek work and raise their family. The two youngest children were born in Detroit. Theresa took pride in spending quality time with her family and would do anything for anyone. She touched us all with her kind heart and was well respected by her family.

Theresa had a great relationship and bond with her siblings from Groton CT, Brooklyn NY, and Cleveland OH. They shared special memories and always made time for each other. They always thought about one another especially around holidays or when they weren’t feeling well. She always shared these special memories and stories with her children and grandchildren when visiting.

Theresa is survived by her four children, Linda Morgan 68, Arlene Tagio 61, Catherine Tolitsky 53, and Robert Tolitsky 49. She also has fourteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son Eddie Tolitsky on November 3, 2008 and her husband of thirty-five years Edward Tolitsky on January 12, 2004.

She was a very special person in all of our hearts. A great mother, sister, aunt, wife, and grandmother. She will dearly be missed by all that knew her.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer.
