Obituary for Theodore W. Blaszczynski

Theodore W. Blaszczynski age 90 of Columbiaville passed away November 18, 2011 in the comforts of his home and surrounded by his loving family and dedicated caregivers. He was born April 8, 1921 to Victor and Helen Blaszczynski. Beloved husband of the late Josephine F. Blaszczynski. He loyally served his country in the United States Army during WWII and was awarded the Bronze Star for heroic achievement in action. Ted retired from Ford Motor Company in his 50’s and in his retirement he enjoyed fishing, gardening and wood working. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Carol Blaszczynski; grandchildren Marc (Leanne) Hovhannissian, Christine Blaszczynski, Scott (Teri) Hovhannissian, Kari (Peter) DiPaolo; great grandchildren Chloe Hovhannissian, Ryan Hovhannissian, Payton Hovhannissian, Tristan Hovhannissian, and Maxwell DiPaolo; brothers Vincent Blaszczynski and Leo Blaszczynski; many nieces and nephews and special friend Valorie Chambers, who went above and beyond to ensure that Ted was comfortable in his last years.
Preceded in death by brothers Mitchell Blaszczynski and Carl Blaszczynski; sisters Frances Yezerski, Rose Halupka and Josephine Blaszczynski.
Friends may visit Monday, November 21, 2011 from 9:30-10:45 AM at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors Capstick Chapel, 542 Liberty Park, Lapeer, MI 48446. A Funeral Mass will take place Monday at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Douglas Terrien officiating. Burial at Mt. Loretto Cemetery with the Auspices of the American Legion Lapeer Post #16 performing military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to your charity of choice are greatly appreciated.
