Obituary for Suzanne Schmidutz

Suzanne Schmidutz, age 69 of Lapeer, passed away on December 22, 2017, in the comforts of her home, after her second battle with cancer. She was born in Columbiaville, MI on June 11, 1948. Suzanne worked as a server for most of her life. She was a waitress at Sam's Coney Island for over 25 years and at the Villa Restaurant for several years. Suzanne was an avid reader and a hardworking woman with many talents. She had deep love for her family and was very proud of her grandchildren.

Suzanne is survived by her huband Alfred H. Schmidutz; daughter Angie (Rich) Morris of Lapeer; son Alfred J. Schmidutz of Newaygo, MI and daughter Michelle Schmidutz; grandchildren TJ Morris, Aaron Morris, Savannah Ross, Michael Ross, Courtney (Ryan) Austin, Nicole (Isaac) Miller and Erica Benham; brothers Larry (Patti) Collier of Milton, FL, Woodrow (Roberta) Dunn Jr. of Lapeer, Raymond Wilcox of Uttica and Hazen Wilcox of Uttica; also many nieces and nephews.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her son John W. Horton; sister Rosemary Bradford; parents Woodrow Dunn Sr. and Mary Jane Wilcox.

A private funeral service was held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer on Saturday, December 23rd, followed by interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lapeer. Pastor Timothy Morris officiated.
