Obituary for Sandra June Mawer
Sandra June Mawer, age 83, a lifetime resident of Lapeer, passed away on July 10, 2021. She was born in Royal Oak, MI on November 8, 1937, to Norm & June Chamberlin. Sandra was a longtime member of First Prebyterian Church in Lapeer. She enjoyed volunteering at the hospital, reading, cross-stitch, and puzzles. Over the years Sandra met many wonderful people in the Lapeer area and acquired many great friendships. She will be deeply missed by many.
Sandra is survived by her daughters Carrie (Peter) Pryce and Connie Walker; son Scott (Sherry) Mawer; granddaughters Chelsea Miller and Olivia (Philip Tartaglia) Kiser; great-grandsons Christian Miller and Luke Miller; sister E. Sue DeView.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband George Mawer; her parents Norm & June Chamberlin; her brother Norman Chamberlin.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Leader Dogs for the Blind are appreciated. No services will be held at this time, however plans for a memorial service are pending.
