Obituary for Robert Lawrence Fisher

Robert (Fish) Fisher age 55 of Lapeer lost his battle with cancer on March 18, 2010. He was born on the 1st day of June in 1954 to Ted and Doris Fisher of Fenton, MI. He graduated from Swartz Creek High School in 1972. Bob was employed by General Motors, Buick Motor Division, Local 599 for 34 years. He retired in 2008 and is living the “High Life” now. Bob loved his family very much and enjoyed fishing, canoeing and golf. Bob will be sadly missed by all his friends and family who loved him dearly. He is survived by his wonderful wife of of 28 years, Joyce Fisher; his parents, Ted and Doris Fisher; three sons, Jeffrey Fisher of Montana, Robert Fisher and Jacob Fisher of Lapeer; grandsons, Conner of Grand Blanc and Jaxon of Montana, who will miss a life with their Papa but will appreciate all the great stories about him. Bob’s siblings include a sister, Karen (Guy) Hazard; brothers, Rick Fisher, Ted Fisher, Ron (Liz) Fisher and Ken (Patty) Fisher. Bob will also be missed everyday by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, family, friends, in-laws and out-laws. Bob was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Josephine Nowak and his best friend, Clayton Wickline, who Bob called “his brother from another mother”. His wishes included having his body donated to the U of M Medical School and his organs will be used for medical research. A Memorial Luncheon in celebration of Bob’s life will be held at his residence in Lapeer on March 28, 2010 at 2:00 PM.
