Obituary for Robert Gillett
Robert Gillett, age 36 of Lapeer, passed away on March 22, 2021. He was born in Lapeer on August 27, 1984. He grew up in the North Branch area and graduated from North Branch High School. Robert loved his son Carter deeply and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was passionate about playing hockey most of his life. Robert loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and landscaping. He will be deeply missed by his family.
Robert is survived by his son Carter Gillett; his parents Mike and Roxanne Gillett; his siblings Crystal (Michael) Bell, Racheal (Heath) Crow, Bryan (Shabrelle) Schroeder, Brandy Wilkerson, Cynthia Claiton) Smith, Pamela Gillett, and Stephen Gillett; grandmother Mary Ruth Gillett; also several nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his grandfather Fred Gillett and grandmother Beulah Black.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. No services will be held at this time.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been setup for the benefit of Carter Gillett, Roberts son. Donations can be made at any Choice One Bank. Please contact Cynthia Smith with any donation questions at cindymsmith127@gmail.com.
