Rick Allen Panduren, age 55 of Lapeer, passed away on December 13th, 2020, surrounded by his family. Rick was born in Lapeer on September 26, 1965. He was a graduate of Lapeer West, class of 1983. Rick was an amazing family man who was a loving husband, devoted father, loving son and brother, as well as an adored Papa who was "loved crazy." He was the beloved coach of the Lapeer Boys 8th Grade Football team and was passionate about U of M Football and a good craft beer. He also had a long career as a dedicated employee at Warren Systems, Inc., specializing in CAD, sheetmetal, and HVAC.
Rick loved talking to people and was loved by all who had a chance to know him. He always took genuine interest in connecting with people. He always seemed to make friends in any crowd. If you were loved by him he would drop anything for you and was considered the protector over his family. Rick was an amazing yet humble man who would always say "I'm not anything special, I'm just an average working man."
Rick is survived by his wife Ruth Panduren; mother Janette Panduren, nee. Bonesteel; children, Courtnee (Cameron) Simerau, Mark (Megan) Hofert, Jennifer (Daniel) Pasquale, and Julie Swift; grandchildren, Ethan, Sophia, Isaac, Gavin, Molly, Claire, Matthew, and Stella; sister Lynette (David) Smith; brother Randy (Leanne) Panduren; nieces Bethany Smith, Lindsay Smith, Sydney Panduren; nephew Logan Panduren.
Rick was preceded in death by his father Allen Panduren and his grandparents.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. A private memorial service will be held at the Open Door Missionary Church in Sandusky on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. A facebook livestream will be created by the Open Door Mission Church staff for those that want to view remotely.
Memorial donations may be made to "Lapeer Community Schools" to be used for the Lapeer Boys 8th Grade Football and mailed to Zemmer Middle School, 1920 W Oregon St, Lapeer, MI 48446.
