Obituary for Orville Gardner

age 81 of Lapeer passed away February 3, 2009
He is survived by his loving wife Nona Gardner. Nona will sadly miss her best friend. She adored Orville, they did everything together and especially loved to travel with one another.
Orville is also survived by his children: Alton Gardner, Barry (Kathy) Gardner, and Chris (Denise) Gardner.
Step-daughter; Sheri (Dave) Elder
Grandchildren: Michael (Mina), John, Jessica (Israel) Segura, Jason, Cheyanne, and Chad.
Step-Grandchildren; David Elder III and Kendra (Tim) Davis
3 Great-Grandchildren; 6 Step-Great-Grandchildren
Nephew; James (Debbie) Gardner
Niece; Betty (Frank) DeFario
He is also survived by sister/brother in-laws; Robert & Dorothy Marr, Charlene & Jerry Hall, and Ivan & Jean Pletscher.
Preceded in death by his parents; Harry & Sadie Gardner, his first wife Patsy, and his brothers Kenneth, Milton, and Duane
He will be sadly missed by many other loving friends and family members.
Orville was a dedicated member of the Metamora/Hadley Masonic Lodge 210 and a member of the Delphi retiree Chapter 651. He worked for the City of Lapeer for 40 years and retired as the Superintendant of the DPW.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 7, 2009, 11:00 AM at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors Capstick Chapel, 542 Liberty Park, Downtown Lapeer. Rev. Ralph H. Pieper II will be officiating. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday, February 5, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and Friday, February 6, 2009 from 1-4 & 6-8 PM. Memorials to the Metamora/Hadley Masonic Lodge 210 Building Fund greatly appreciated.
