Kenneth L. Mendham, 67, of Millington, passed away surrounded by the love of his family Wednesday, July 15, 2020, while at The Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
Ken was born December 31, 1952, in Pontiac, MI to (the late) John Charles (Jack) Mendham and Grace Elizabeth Mendham-Skym (Eno). He was a graduate of Waterford Kettering High School. On July 7, 1973, Ken married the love of his life, Sally West. Together they shared 43 years of wedded bliss until the Lord called her home. Ken worked many years and retired from General Motors.
Ken and Sally made a life with each other filled with love, laughter, and family. Ken lived each day for his family, enjoying spending time with his children and grandchildren, always there to cheer them on, hold them up, and encourage each of them through life. He loved playing his guitar especially around a fire while singing along together. An avid sports fan, especially NASCAR. Ken always shared his fond memories of his childhood, growing up with his brother and three sisters.
Ken leaves to cherish his memory; his daughters, Cassie Mendham and husband Terry Gibbs, Tabitha and husband Matt Henderson, grandchildren, McKenzee Monroe, Mollie Mae, Manuel Mason, Dustin Michael, Maezeeona Mariah, Lukas Everett, Adelynn Marie, and soon to arrive Ivory Anne. Ken also leaves, his sisters, Barbara Jacobs and husband Mark, Sandra Ball and husband Rudy, and his baby sister Kathy Connolly and husband Joe, brother-in-law Greg West and wife Angela. Ken also leaves many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many extended family and so many friends.
Besides his parents, Ken is also preceded in death by the of love of his life, Sally; sons, Jeremy Michael Mendham and Dustin Anson Mendham, and brother Rodney Mendham.
Cassie and Tabitha along with the family have honored Ken’s wishes and cremation has taken place. A small memorial will be held, if you wish to attend please reach out to the family. In lieu of flowers, his family would love for all donations to go to The Hospice House of Shiawassee County, 2005 Copas Rd, Owosso, MI 48867.
