Obituary for Kenneth L. Biron

Kenneth L. Biron, age 79 of Lapeer, passed away on November 4, 2021. He was born in Pontiac, MI on April 30, 1942. Ken was always playing sports when young. He enjoyed a fun-filled game of golf with GM buddies. He enjoyed coaching girls softball teams, loved fishing when time permitted, great gourmet cook, made awesome salsa. Ken joined the National Guard while still in high school and enlisted into the Navy at the age of 18 and was on the USSR Dewey ship. He started working at the GM Plant 6 in Pontiac on the line. Ken received a Bachelor's Degree in Business while continually working very hard and eventually made his way up Superintendent. The people working under Ken really liked him and therefore their job performance was never less than excellent. Ken was a U of M fan through and through, especially football. Many seasons in a row Ken had enjoyed his season tickets. He had the most awesome 1962 Catalina convertible. He had many years attending vintage car shows and often came in 1st or 2nd place.

He and his wife Kathleen both had a soft spot for helpless animals. The last 15 years of their marriage, they would take in lost, badly injured and starving kitties that just showed up on the porch crying and begging for help. They found homes for many of them and also kept a few.

Ken is survived by his wife of 15 years Kathleen Biron; his daughters Wendy (Stephen) Hayes of Wyandotte, Stephanie (Kenneth) D'Anna of Waterford, Cynthia (James) Egres of Waterford; grandchildren CJ, Brandon, and Fallon; sister Donna Biron. Kenneth was preceded in death by his brother Albert Biron.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. A memorial graveside service will be held in Port Hope, MI in the Spring/Summer of 2022.
