Obituary for Katrina M. Buckel
Katrina M. Buckel, age 42, a longtime resident of Millington, passed away unexpectedly on December 18, 2014. She is the beloved wife of Gary Buckel and is survived by her children Bradley Buning, Caitlyn (Aaron) Sedely, Brandon Buning and Jacob Buning; granddaughter Nicole Buning; parents Gary and Linda Case; her siblings Rebecca (Todd) Jackson and Chad (Faye) Case; grandfather Ernest (Carol) Hagensen; close friend Jackie Burns; as well as many dear cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her grandparents Olive Hagensen as well as Paul and Margaret Case.
Katrina was recently busy working hard towards her certificate as a surgical technician yet the happiness of her family was always her main area of importance. She enjoyed spending time in her flower gardens as well as camping, especially in the fall of the year. She will be fondly remembered by many with a Diet Coke in hand. Her presence will be missed by her horse, Cider.
A memorial service celebrating Katrina’s life will be held on Saturday, December 27th at United Brethren Church, 6259 Richfield Rd., Flint, MI 48506. Visitation will be from 10 am until noon with the celebration and lunch to follow. Memorial contributions to her family are very much appreciated.
