Obituary for Jeffrey James Johnson

Jeffrey "Jeff" James Johnson, loving son, brother and uncle, passed away peacefully to be with his Lord on June 5th, 2018,
at the age of 66 years old. His birthday will be celebrated this year in Heaven.

He was born on September 11th, 1951, and was predeceased by his mother, Lucille Ann Farley Johnson (Bryce) of Almont, MI;
father, Henry Daniel Johnson of MN; older brother, Daniel (Dan) Henry Johnson; and grandparents, James Ronald Farley and
Helen Phoebe Farley (Greene), of Almont, MI.

Lovingly remembered by brothers, William (Bill) Lee Johnson of Urbana, Illinois, and David (Dave) Farley Johnson of Yardley, Pennsylvania;
sister, Janis Helen Johnson (Stepney) of Norfolk, Virginia; nieces (daughters of Janis), Melissa Rene Wilkinson (Trevor Wilkinson) of Roanoke, IN,
Alicia Nicole Squire (Andrew Squire) of Albion, IN, Savannah Marie and Danielle Lee Stepney of Norfolk, VA;
uncle, James A. Farley and his wife, Mary Farley of Almont, MI;
loving friend, Giselle Hausner; and loving cousins and friends from MI and surrounding states.

Jeff graduated from Almont High School, Almont, MI, in June 1969, and he went on to help his Uncle James A. Farley on the family farm and then moved to Oakland County in Rochester, MI. He became employed at U.S. Broach, Inc., as an Estimator of Broaches. After over 10+ years, he took a position at Detroit Broach as an Estimator. Jeff spent his time doing the things he loved. He was an avid fisherman and loved fly fishing. He would plan fishing trips with his brothers each year. He had a passion for riding motorcycles and was also a member of the Fiero Club. He enjoyed traveling and hanging out with his friends and family. He loved barbecuing and having cookouts (he had the best!). His family called him the "Barbecue King!" If his place wasn’t available, he would bring the barbecue to you! Jeff always made sure that his family came first. He took care of his brother, Dan, when he became ill and his mother when she was ill in later years. He will be forever and lovingly missed.
