Janie Agnes Fessler, a resident of Lapeer, passed away on August 2, 2009 at the age of 62. She was born in Windsor, ON Canada to her surviving father, Earl Lapain and her late mother, Rita Brisson Lapain. She is survived by her husband, Timothy Jay Fessler. After their marriage in 1992 they spent 17 wonderful years together. Janie was a compassionate soul. Her love for animals directed her to volunteer work at the Paradise Animal Shelter in Columbiaville. She also devoted much of her time to helping others at the North Branch United Methodist Church and Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapeer. Most of all Janie was passionate about her family and spending quality time with her grandchildren. It is her love and compassion that they will all deeply miss. Janie is also survived by her twin daughters, Lynn (Tim) Wright and Peggy (Lee Fannin) Auciello; son, Scott (Debbie) Hornak; grandchildren, Joshua Wright, Benjamin Wright, Ashley Wright, Kevin Auciello, Krystal Auciello, April Auciello, Alyssa Hornak, Stephanie Hornak; brothers, Donald (Sandy) Lapain, Mark (Amy) Lapain; sister, JoAnn Warzynski, Cheryl (Mike) Plummer. Also many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her step-mothers, Edna, Verna, Alberta. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 2:30 PM from Lynch & Sons Funeral Home Capstick Chapel, 542 Liberty Park Lapeer, MI 48446. Rev. Ralph Pieper II will be officiating. Interment in Stiles Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday 11:00 AM until time of service. Memorials to the Paradise Animal Shelter 5380 Lapeer Rd., Columbiaville, MI 48421 are greatly appreciated.
