Obituary for Garner Quinn Train

Garner Quinn Train, age 47 of Lapeer, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 in the comfort of his home. He was born March 8, 1971. He was a Navy veteran with a heart of gold. He had a witty sense of humor and loved his family and country first.

Garner “Quinn” is survived by his wife of 12 years, Dawn Leidlein; stepdaughter, Sylvia Leidlein-Shepard; grandson, Riley Moon; father, Garner Keith Train; mother and stepfather, Sally and Brian McFarland; mother and father-in-law, Youlonda and Larry Leidlein; two sisters, Elizabeth and Sarah Train; three nieces and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Samuel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at support.woundedwarriorproject.org.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2018 at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors – Capstick Chapel. Direct family may visit from 9-10 a.m. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until the service begins.
