Obituary for Floyd (Bud) Henry Hardy II

Floyd (Bud) Henry Hardy II age 71, a lifetime resident of Lapeer passed away December 19, 2010 in the comforts of his home and in the presence of his loving family. He was born May 15, 1939 in Pontiac, MI to Floyd and Bonnie Hardy. Floyd was an employee of Sears in Flint for 34 years. He loved and promoted southern gospel music and hosted a radio program, “Precious Memories” for 2 years. Floyd was very active in the church and enjoyed hunting. He married Marilyn (Trune) Hardy 43 years before her passing on April 12, 2001. He is also preceded in death by his parents, and sister Zona Lou Dorland. Floyd is survived by his wife Karin (McComb) Hardy whom he married May 2, 2009; sister Nancy (Charles) Bradley; children Susan Perry and Tom Gostola, Karyn (Michael) Harrison, Julie (Scott) Ball, Jim (Kim) McComb, Bill (Maggie) McComb, Danny (Brenda) McComb, Paige (Tim) Bearss; 16 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will take place Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Lapeer Apostolic Church (2500 N. Lapeer Rd, Lapeer, MI 48446) Jim Glasco, Andrew Jolly and Chuck Robbins will be officiating. Burial at Stiles Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday at the Lapeer Apostolic Church from 1-4 and 6-8 pm. Arrangements entrusted to Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors Capstick Chapel, 542 Liberty Park, Lapeer, MI 48446. Memorials to “His House Christian Fellowship” (1171 Trowbridge Rd. E. Lansing, MI 48823) are greatly appreciated.
