Obituary for Edith A. Fetter

Edith Anne Fetter, 102 of Lapeer, passed away on February 17, 2020. She was born in Detroit, MI on May 12, 1917. Edith is survived by her children: Linda J. Stirling and William J. Fetter (Louise); grandchildren: Ann M. Griffin (James), Amy Stirling Lammers (Michael), Brian J. Fetter (Sharon) and Elizabeth A. Fetter; Great-Grandchildren: Bayla Russel, Jack T. Fetter, Athena Rose Fetter, Eli Lammers; Nieces: Mary “Tootie” LaBarre (Ronald) and Lynn Krisko; Great-Nieces: Bonnie Kennedy (Patrick) and Tootie Nienow (Paul); Friends: Natalie and Gordie Riewe, who treated Edith like family, and many other dear friends.

Edith was preceded in death by: her husband of 60 years, James T. Fetter

Edith, who like to be called Edie by her friends, passed peacefully with devoted friends by her side after a short illness. Edie was blessed with a long, active and independent life, however, macular degeneration limited her in her later years. She loved her family and friends, her pet cats and dogs, traveling, camping, sewing and quilting, gardening, dancing and playing card games (she really liked to win). Edie was always active with her church, most recently as a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lapeer.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer.

In lieu of flowers and in keeping with Edie’s wishes, please donate in her memory to one of the charities listed below or another of your choice:
