GRIEF & HEALING
affirmations to uplift & help you through
each stage of the grieving process.
Donna Jean Clasper, age 90, a longtime resident of Lapeer, passed away on December 30, 2020. She was born in Flint, MI on September 9, 1930, the daughter of Pearce and Mildred Thompson.
Donna worked tirelessly in the medical field from age 15 until her retirement at age 67. She began working for several doctor's offices in the Flint area and eventually was the Business Manager for the Blue Care Network. Donna loved working in the medical field where she was fair, loving, and had developed many wonderful relationships.
Donna was a woman of strong faith and values and had a wonderful voice. She devoted much of her early years to the Court Street Methodist Church in Flint where she was a choir member. Around age 30 she moved to the Lapeer area where she devoted much of her time to the Trinity United Methodist Church, where she also sang soprano in the church choir.
Donna enjoyed animals, especially her AKC Poodles that she breed for many years. Most of all Donna was a loving, caring, fun, and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family and her faith was her number one priority and she will be deeply missed by them all.
Donna is survived by her children: Nancy (Richard) Zemmer, Paul Clasper, Susanne (Raymond) Elliott, Patricia Bernard, and Pamela (Christopher) Hall; six grandchildren: Jessica Henderson, Jeremy (Keith) Henderson-Teelucksingh, Ericka Zemmer, Ryan (Danielle) Zemmer, Grant Elliott, and Alexandra Hall; three great-grandchildren: Nicholas Henderson-Teelucksingh and Makenzie & Zoe Richmond-Zemmer.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband George Semmens Jr.; husband James Clasper; daughter Deborah Williams; parents Pearce & Mildred Thompson.
Memorials donations to Trinity United Methodist Church, 1310 N. Main St, Lapeer, MI 48446 are appreciated.
A special thanks to The Cottage of Davison and McLaren Hospice for their care and support to Donna and her family.
