Obituary for Anna Mae Lynk

Anna Mae (Hart) Lynk, 92 of Lapeer, passed away January 15, 2011 at My Home AFC. She was born December 26, 1918 in Caseville, Michigan, the daughter of Albert and Ann (O'Conner) Hart. On February 5, 1944 she married Donald J. Lynk in Flint, Michigan.

Anna worked at Hamady Bros. in Flint and AC Spark Plugs during WWII. and also at the Lapeer State Home Cottage 35 for 18 years. Anna and her husband Don owned and operated Lynk's Grocery Store on Bronson Lake Rd in Lapeer. After they retired they moved to Lady Lake, Florida and then back to Lapeer.

Anna is survived by her daughter Sandra Congdon of Columbiaville; grandchildren Kelly (Ben) Johnston of Haslett, MI, Kim Kongdon of Lapeer, and Stephanie Congdon of Lapeer; great-grandson Jake Johnston of Haslett; sister Delores (Jim) Vincent of Lapeer; sister-in-laws Mary Lynk of Davison, Mary Vroman of Lapeer and Alice Hart of Okemos, MI.

Ann is preceded in death by her husband Donald Lynk, son-in-law Stephen Congdon, sisters Virginia Thompson and Margaret Cannon, Brothers Wallace Hart and Tommy Hart.

Funeral from Lynch & Sons Capstick Chapel 542 Liberty Park Wednesday January 19, 2011 at 1 PM. Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday January 18, 2011 from 2-8 PM and Wednesday prior to the service starting at 12 noon. Memorials may be made to the Mary Jane Congdon Scholarship Fund.
