Obituary for Alma Rose Hadley

Alma Rose Hadley, age 93, a resident of Dryden, passed away May 8, 2012. She was born on November 16, 1918 in Detroit. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence Hadley for 72 years. Together they resided in Dryden for 63 years. Alma served on the Dryden School Board for many years. She was instrumental in starting the St. Cornelius Catholic Parish and more significantly she was the Citizens Probation Council Coordinator in Lapeer County for 40 years. Alma was also the proud recipient of the Daily Point of Light Award presented by former president George W. Bush. Alma is survived by 11 children, Sandra Coon, Carol Nowaczyk, Larry Hadley, Russell Hadley, Patricia Owel, Daniel Hadley, Annette Hadley, Rem Bridgford, Jacqueline Zetye, Margaret Ribaudo and Stephen Hadley; 24 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 1 expected great great grandchild.
Funeral from St. Cornelius Catholic Church, 3834 North Mill Rd., Dryden, Saturday 10:00 AM (In state at 9:00 AM). Interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dryden. Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home Capstick Chapel, 542 Liberty Park, Lapeer, Friday 1:00 - 8:00 PM. Memorials to Citizens Probation Council or St. Cornelius Catholic Church are greatly appreciated.
